Green leaves long earrings in oxidised silver

Leaf - shaped, long earrings hand crafted from scratch. I made sterling silver settings by hand in traditional goldsmith techniques. I also finished them by brushing and oxidising (darkening the surface of the silver). There are real, but specially prepared leaves and compositions of old watch parts inside; gently finished with perfectly transparent and glossy resin.

Total earring length: ca. 46mm.

What's important - these earrings have an open ear hook bent into fancy waves and twists. They must be inserted in the ear-hole from the other side. It means, you do not put the earwire into the hole in the ear from the front of the ear, but you start from the back side of the hole and push it forward. Please notice, that this is quite unique solution of ear wire. Please check if this is not a problem for you before purchase (please stand in front of the mirror and try to put on any of your own earrings, starting from the back of the hole in your ear). The earwires of these earrings are bent into smooth lines, which means that you have to gently pull them through the hole twisting them in the same time, when putting them on. I know it sounds complicated, but I've tested the prototype of the earwire on myself and at the third time I put it on without using a mirror ;) So it is just a matter of changing habits and a little bit of sensitivity and patience while puting these earrings on. The great advantage of such fancifully bent earwires (in addition to the interesting appearance that perfectly matches the natural style of these earrings) is that it is absolutely impossible to accidentally lose them.
