A fox - unique necklace on a braided thong

The fox is an animal that symbolizes cunning and cleverness in our culture. In many European fairy tales and legends, it is characterized by shrewdness, gaining by deception whatever it wants. Although the assessment of the behavior of this predator is sometimes controversial, it must be admitted that they are above average intelligent animals, able to adapt to very unfavorable conditions sometimes. Paradoxically - if they were people, they would be described as resourceful instead of cunning ;) In this context, it is interesting that in Japan foxes are considered a symbol of wealth. And white foxes are associated with the goddess/god of fertility and agriculture - Inari; moreover, they are often depicted as messengers of this deity. In Japanese mythology, they are presented as wise creatures with magical abilities. So as you see it is a very interesting topic, especially if you notice how incredibly beautiful these animals are. Wild, free, gifted by nature with a unique beauty of their furs and ... if you look carefully... having a lot from both: cats and dogs - our four-legged friends in their appearance, what arouses sympathy.

This original necklace with a fox is handmade of watch parts and silver.

The motif inside the pendant is made mainly of metal watch parts and placed in a transparent resin cabochon.

The teardrop pendant setting is hand crafted of sterling silver.

The drop dimensions are: 17 mm x 23 mm. The total length of the pendant is 28 mm.

A natural leather braided thong visible in the photos is included. It is 60 cm long currently (what makes it quite long). On request, I can shorten it for you to the length that you like the most - just ask for it in the commentary on the purchase. The clasp and endings of this strap are also made of a noble metal - 925 silver.
