Here is a portrait of a Newfoundland girl with the sonorous name of Aliska, created for the birthday of her owner, who is a great fan of this breed. One-of-a-kind, hand-made artistic jewelry can be a great gift for someone special, especially if you can see at a first glance that a tiny sculpture was created especially for that person - like this pendant with a dog.
Small sculptural forms are the our spécialité de la maison. And the favorite material in our work are elements of old timepieces. Tiny, technical and very precise elements, fulfilling their strictly defined functions in the movements of watches, gain their second life in our atelier as miniature sculptures.
I admit that little portraits of watches elements are one of the most interesting challenges, because from a material that has its limitations, e.g. shapes, flexibility of elements, etc.), you need to visually bring out life (!). We use these technical, uncooperative shapes and gears to create bionic forms, trying to reflect not only the physiognomy of the portrayed person or animal, but also to capture this fleeting "something" - manifested, for example in the way of moving and facial expressions. Theoretically, it cannot succeed in such a characteristic material as old movements. But we make it! This requires a great deal of intuition in the selection and creative transformation of parts and full commitment to work each time. This is how totally unique, miniature works of art are created, which we mostly give the form of jewelry and less often desk stands, statuettes or pictures.
This handmade pendant was made to order. It is unique and I will not repeat it. However, we make jewellery on individual requests. So if you consider ordering something special for yourself or for your loved one, then feel free to contact us.
