Cosmic Box – 14k gold earrings with natural diamonds

Here are some interesting 14k gold earrings inspired by another oour projects – the Cosmic Box cufflinks (you can see them below). In these cufflinks, the cosmos is an interior of a mechanical box, which symbolizes physics and mathematics. These sciences precisely describe the laws controling the interior of the box as they create its walls. We even dare to say, that math and physics are so powerful, that they determine all events that occur within the "box". But in these phenomenal earrings, we go far beyond these limitations.

This cosmic jewels were custom made. The client delivered us her own raw diamonds and gold for melting. The main assumption was that these earrings were expected to be hanging earrings – hence their cascading and very geometric form. From the top points they expand in subsequent stages to the form of a cosmic box. This brings to mind – and rightly so – the Big Bang Theory. From the point singularity of the earring stud, through the "creation of light" (radiation) - here personified by diamonds, to the expanding three-dimensional space, matter and the currently functioning laws of physics, i.e. the Universe we know.

Almost 14 billion years of light and time summarized in 3 centimeters of gold, diamond and our imagination.

I have to admit that I lreally love such realizations - coherent, saturated with content and at the same time simple, but extremely elegant and chic!
