The most common watch hands are golden.
Next in frequency are black.
There are fewer of reds.
In total, over 120 watch hands in different colors were used for this miniature Ara parrot (not counting other parts). The bird was made of watchmakers scrap, by hand according to our design.
The background of this tropical pendant is hand painted with intricate patterns a little bit inspired by Art Nouveau decorations. The background colors have been designed in shades of tropical green. The spirally twisted branches on which the Ara sits are nothing but drive springs from women's wrist watches.
The whole pendant with the parrot was made from scratch in atelier TRYB. Its setting was made by hand from a strong clock drive spring. The eyelet and bail are made of surgical steel. The back (reverse) of the medallion is made of black resin.
The diameter of the pendant is about 43mm.
Finish: transparent resin - thanks to this this complicated pattern is perfectly fixed.
This tropical bird required so much work and time (not just timepieces elements ;) that it should be assumed that it is unique. I won't do the second one.
